Are you a recent graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about providing a high-quality education to children between the ages of 9-10 years old?
ORTUS RECRUITMENT are looking to recruit a proactive, bright and assertive individual to join the KS2 team in a mainstream, Ofsted rated ‘Good’ primary school in Dollis Hill. You will need to have the ability to confidently lead interventions and manage behaviour effectively.
The school is a diverse and community-driven Primary school, that keeps the child at the heart of everything it does. They pride themselves on their ethos and require an individual who shares the same values and is passionate about promoting them within the school.
You will also be expected to be a role model for pupils, help to create a positive learning environment and foster excellent behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment and make a real difference to the children’s learning. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people, a good understanding of the national curriculum and strong communication skills.
The school is looking for a recent graduate of psychology, childhood studies, English, maths, performing arts or other relevant subject. Previous experience in a primary school setting is desirable, but not essential.
**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a minimum 2:2 degree in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education or other relevant subject
- Have experience working with children in a KS2 classroom environment
- Be friendly, confident, assertive, reliable and dedicated to being a positive role model
- A genuine interest and passion for supporting children in their social, emotional and academic development
- Have a strong academic background with the ability to lead core subject interventions
