Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in the Merton borough and they are searching for a enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role. The candidate applying for this role will need prior experience working with children and have availability to start immediately.

If you apply for this role you will be working with KS1, supporting the class teacher in managing the class behaviour and planning lessons. You will also be responsible for watch, record and report the progress students make. You will not only be responsible for helping students inside the classroom but during breaks and lunch, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are being met.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal communications and written skills
• Creativity – Plan fun learning activities to engage the students
• Organisational skills – to keep the classroom tidy to ensure a safe environment for the students
• Sensitivity and understanding for building good relationships with children
• Active listening skills to understand the children needs
• Ability to be flexible and open to change
