A reputable mainstream primary school located in the London Borough of Lambeth is looking for the perfect hard-working, resilient graduate to join their exceptional team.
The role will involve working alongside pupils with complex behavioural needs, who require some additional guidance from a positive role model. The successful candidate will support the pupils with their daily routine, keeping the pupils engaged and motivated to learn effectively in the classroom.
** This is an ideal position for a Psychology/Criminology graduate who is seeking first-hand experience before pursuing a career as a Prison Liaison Officer, Therapist, Counsellor, Youth Mentor amongst others. **
Job role:
- Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom.
- Encourage the development of the students’ social skills.
- Work within the classroom and in smaller groups to accommodate needs.
- Support and comply with the school’s safeguarding procedures.
- Full-time, long term position starting ASAP.
- Located in the London Borough of Lambeth
Candidate Specification:
- A 2:1 or a First-class degree from a reputable University – (not essential)
- Genuine interest working with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to adapt.
- Experience in a previous role, or personal experience in SEN is desirable.
- Calm and compassionate nature.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
