Ortus Recruitment is seeking a passionate teaching assistant to work within a lovely school located in Brixton. The school is eager to welcome you to join their team in September 2024!

About the role:

You will be required to work in a general class in KS2 however your main responsibility is to assist a child who has autism and who is well-behaved however, the child needs help to catch up academically. You will be required to run one-to-one and group interventions.

What are the requirements:

• You need to be proactive and flexible
• The school may require you to move around to different classes sometimes
• You will need a DBS on the update service
• Must have SEN experience – Autism and ADHD
• Need experience working in a school or a similar environment
• Must know the KS2 (year 5) curriculum
• A level or equivalent (preferred)

Please note:

• This is a Full-Time position
• Working hours are from 8:30 am to 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday
• September 2024 Start
