ORTUS RECRUITMENT are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant Mainstream Primary Schools, located in the London Borough of  Lewisham, Catford. The school are looking for a candidate that can start immediately and commit to Full time, Long term work. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and is looking to expand their already thriving Nursery team.

The Job Role:

• Position: Graduate Nursery Assistant
• Pay: £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Lewisham, Catford
• Role: Full Time, Long Term, Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 16:00

Within this role, the successful candidate will join an amazing Nursery Team and support learners from the ages of 2-4. You will be required to help the pupils develop social, emotional and mental skills through activities, games and tasks. You will be responsible for supervising the pupils whilst they eat lunch and play in playground, helping other members of staff to maintain calm behaviour.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working alongside children in a nursery setting or a relevant role such as child minding/nannying.
• Be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to giving them a positive learning environment
• Be able to build a positive rapport with pupils and staff
• Will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent, in relevant childcare field
• Have a high work ethic and a positive attitude to work
• Will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
