Ortus Recruitment is excited to partner with a warm and inclusive primary school based in Earlsfield, as they seek a full-time Behaviour Mentor to join their dedicated team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, Teaching Assistants, or Learning Support Assistants with a keen interest in supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, both in and out of class
• Deliver targeted interventions that support students’ emotional regulation and academic progress
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and other support staff to implement personalised behaviour plans
• Help maintain a calm and structured learning environment, using de-escalation strategies where necessary
• Support across different year groups as needed, ensuring flexibility in your approach

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviour (primary or secondary experience welcome)
• Confidence in managing difficult situations and promoting positive behaviour
• Familiarity with EHCPs and supporting students with SEMH needs
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
• Full-time availability from September 2025, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Ability to travel to and work within the Earlsfield (SW18) area

Salary:

• £85 – £105 per day (PAYE), depending on experience
