The role:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant
• Location: Merton
• Full time – long term
• PAYE £80-90
• Immediate start

Responsibilities:

• Encouraging students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the class teacher.
• Establishing constructive relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to individual needs.
• Providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
• Setting challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Work on a 1:1 basis with students with diverse needs such as SEMH.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with the students, teachers and other staff
• Ability to be proactive, reliable and dedicated
• A fully enhanced DBS or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• strong understanding of the primary curriculum
