Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Richmond and they are on the hunt for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role.

The role:

• Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Location: Richmond
• Full time – long term role
• Immediate start
• PAYE £80-£90

About the role:

• Working on a 1:1 basis with students who have SEN
• Encourage the students to interact with their peers and engage in group work
• Monitoring the students’ progress and providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
• Adapting classroom materials and activities to suit the student’s individual needs and learning style
• Implementing and following EHCP’s and Behaviour Plans for the student.

What the school is looking for?

• Be patient and flexible, no day is the same
• Genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
• Have enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)
• Have extensive knowledge/experience of Special Educational Needs
• Excellent communication skills
