Ortus Recruitment are currently working with a mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lambeth, who are seeking for experienced SEN learning support assistant to join their team immediately. The primary school has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report; now they are seeking for a learning support assistant who is flexible with good English skills to support a KS2 student and EYFS long-term.

The Role:

This role requires a flexible learning support assistant with good English skills to work 1:1. Our partnered school also requested that they would like a candidate that will be able to work in their resource base and be confident to deliver curriculum content to pupil when needed.

The ideal candidate will:

• Degrees in Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Education, Drama and Performing Arts are ideal, but we welcome applicants with degrees beyond this or relevant qualifications for working with children
• Have experience working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work | Mentoring | Tutoring | Childcare etc.
• Be friendly, confident, outgoing, reliable and be a positive role model
• A genuine interest and passion for the development of young vulnerable pupil
• Be available full-time (Monday-Friday 8.30am-4pm)
