A primary school in Thornton Heath is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 student with ADHD and mild learning difficulties, ensuring they stay engaged and reach their full potential.

The Role:

• Provide one-to-one classroom support for a Year 6 student with ADHD.
• Implement strategies to help with focus, behaviour regulation, and learning.
• Adapt classroom tasks to suit the student’s learning style and abilities.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to implement an EHCP.
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.

About You:

• Experience supporting children with ADHD or additional learning needs is desirable.
• Understanding of behaviour management and engagement strategies.
• A patient, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to SEN support.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with staff and parents.
