SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (KS2)
Location: Colindale, North London
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Colindale. This rewarding role is to work on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 girl who has autism and displays challenging behaviour.

The Role

• Provide individualised support to help the pupil access learning and feel secure in the classroom.
• Implement strategies to manage behaviour positively and consistently.
• Assist with personal care needs in a sensitive and respectful manner.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with autism and/or challenging behaviour.
• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
• Comfortable with supporting personal care.
