This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to make a meaningful impact — particularly with children who have additional learning needs.

🌟 About the Role:

As a Student Engagement Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils throughout the school day.

• Work closely with pupils — particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) — on a 1:1 and small group basis, tailoring support to individual needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers to create engaging, inclusive lessons and learning environments.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resource setup, and light admin tasks to keep the day running smoothly.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering their confidence, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning.
• Contribute to planning and delivering activities, while encouraging social, emotional and academic growth.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in education, especially in SEND support, while gaining valuable in-class experience in a nurturing, child-centred school.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience supporting children, particularly in a classroom or SEN environment (preferred)
• A positive, patient and empathetic nature, with strong interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and the ability to respond calmly to challenging behaviours or changing needs
• A genuine passion for helping children of all abilities reach their full potential
• Confidence working as part of a team and communicating effectively with staff, pupils, and families
