SEN Teaching Assistant – ASC (Shirley)
Location: Shirley, Croydon, Greater London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

A welcoming primary school in Shirley is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The focus will be on encouraging communication, social interaction, and engagement with play-based learning.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one support for a Reception pupil with ASC
- Use visual prompts and structured routines to support daily activities
- Encourage social interaction through play and group tasks
- Support early literacy, numeracy, and communication development
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to track progress
About You:
- Experience supporting young children with Autism is desirable
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about early years education
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual strategies is an advantage
- Positive and proactive approach to supporting SEN pupils
