We have an exciting Special Needs Teaching Assistant opportunity based in a friendly, inclusive primary school in Earlsfield. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who wants to gain valuable experience in a supportive school while working 1:1 with a child with Autism and Speech & Language needs in a Year 5 class.

This role would be perfect for someone with experience or a keen interest in working with children with SEN, particularly Autism. Whether you’re looking to gain experience before pursuing teacher training or simply want a rewarding role where you can truly make an impact, this is the role for you.

Key Details:

• Earlsfield, Wandsworth Borough
• £89 – £105 per day (PAYE – no umbrella or agency deductions)
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
• Start date: Immediate
• Contract type: Full time, long term

About the Role:

• Working 1:1 with a child in Year 5 with Autism and communication needs
• Supporting the child with tailored interventions and classroom activities
• Helping to implement strategies from the SENCo and external therapists
• Collaborating with the class teacher and wider staff to ensure the best possible support
• Creating a calm, nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone kind, calm, and committed to supporting children with additional needs
• Previous experience with SEN (particularly Autism) is desirable but not essential
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An interest in education and a desire to make a lasting impact
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
