ORTUS RECRUITMENT are working alongside a brand new client, a Mainstream Primary School, located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Brockley. This mainstream school are seeking an Experienced Teaching Assistant to join their thriving staff team. The school are Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and pride themselves on the pupils academic ability and their positive working environment.

The Job Role:

· Position: Teaching Assistant

· Pay: £80 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden Agency/Umbrella company fees

· Location: Lewisham, Brockley

· Role: Full time, Long term – Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00

Within this role the successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Class Teacher and other support staff (TA’s), assisting and supporting a Year 5 class. You will be required to help develop the pupils academic, social and emotional skills. You will also be required to undertake administrative duties such as photocopying/laminating worksheets, signing reading diaries and marking class work/homework.

The ideal candidate:

· Will have experience working alongside children in a care, school or social setting

· Will be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated in helping them develop academically, emotionally and socially

· Will have a kind and nurturing nature

· Will be highly motivated and enthusiastic about a new rewarding career in education

· Will have a strong academic background, educated to degree level or equivalent – desired not essential
