Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant mainstream primary schools on a full time, long term basis throughout the academic year.

We need someone who is passionate about aiding the development of pupils and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

Job Summary:

· General Teaching Assistant with SEN Support duties, working 1:1 and in small groups

· £85 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees

Main responsibilities:

· You will be required to assist the class teacher in supporting pupils in a year 4 class

· You will undertake general teaching assistant duties, supporting the whole class with work and managing and maintaining positive class behaviour

· You will be responsible for working 1:1 and in small groups at times helping to raise the attainment of pupils who need additional support

· You will need to liaise with the class teacher, SENCO and the parents/carers to provide the academic and behavioural pupil progress

Must have:

· A clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52

· Two obtainable childcare relevant references

· A minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements:

· Previous experience working alongside children in a care, residential, school or social setting

· The ability to easily build a positive rapport with both staff and students

· Great communication and interpersonal skills

· A passion for working with children
