Role Overview:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning and development of our students. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment, assisting with instructional activities, and providing individual support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
• Support individual and small group learning activities.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Supervise students during break and lunch times.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with primary-aged children.
• A passion for education and supporting children’s development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
