We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Merton, starting in September. This is a full-time position ideal for someone passionate about education and helping children achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

– Provide support to individual students or small groups to enhance their learning experience.

– Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.

– Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.

– Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.

– Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities.

– Participate in school events and activities contributing to the wider school community.

– Undertake any other duties as required to support the smooth running of the classroom and school.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

– Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

– A commitment to supporting all students to achieve their best.

– A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
