Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to commit to a full time-long term role in our vibrant and thriving mainstream primary school located in Teddington.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will need to assist the class teacher in supporting a year 2 class as a general teaching assistant working to maintain positive behaviour in the class and around the school building
• You may be required to undertake administrate duties such as photocopying/laminating work and updating/ removing display boards
• You will need to liaise with the class teacher, the SENCO and parents/carers to provide feedback on pupil progress
• You will need to supervise the pupils in the lunch hall, playground and in the corridors working to maintain calm behaviour.

Must have:

• A clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A minimum grade C in GCSE English and Maths

• We need you to have experience working with children in a care, residential, school or social setting
• The ability to build a positive rapport with both staff and students
• You will need to have a good communication and interpersonal skills
• You will need to be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated in aiding both their academic and behavioural attainment levels
