Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Are you someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a real impact in the classroom?
A lovely primary school in Southfields is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. You don’t need to be qualified – just enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to support young learners in a meaningful way. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s considering a future in education or simply wants to contribute to a positive school environment.
You’ll be working from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, supporting children in the classroom, including those with special educational needs. Some of your day might be spent working one-to-one with pupils who need a bit of extra help, or running small group activities to keep learning fun and engaging. You’ll be guided by teachers and the school’s SEN team, but having your own initiative and a calm, patient approach will go a long way.
The school itself is warm, diverse, and community-driven. Staff work closely together and genuinely care about the children, helping them grow both academically and personally. They’re proud of their inclusive environment and are looking for someone who shares that same passion for helping every child thrive.
This role would suit someone with experience working with children — whether that’s through tutoring, volunteering, coaching, childcare, or youth work. What matters most is your willingness to get involved, your ability to communicate well, and your desire to make a difference.
Pay ranges from £89 to £110 per day (PAYE) depending on your experience.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your up-to-date CV to apply, and we’ll be in touch to talk more about the role.
