A primary school in Chiswick is seeking a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to work alongside the class teacher in helping students succeed in their academic goals as they prepare for secondary school.

The Role:
As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support for students, particularly those who need additional help in literacy and numeracy. You will also assist with SATs preparation and work with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure they receive the necessary support to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support for Year 6 students, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
• Assist with SATs preparation and help students develop exam techniques.
• Work with students who have SEN, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment.
• Provide emotional and social support, helping students prepare for their transition to secondary school.

About You:

• Experience working with Key Stage 2 students, particularly in Year 6.
• Knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, including SATs preparation.
• Understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to adapt lessons accordingly.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards supporting students’ learning.
